Rearview Mirror Camera: 10 Inch FHD 1080P Dual Dash Cam with Touch Screen
Rearview Mirror Camera Optics: Generalplus Chipset and GC2053 Sensor Architecture
The Generalplus chipset processes dual 2MP GC2053 sensor data at 30 frames per second, yielding 1920x1080P front and rear video streams that allow drivers to read license plates and highway signage clearly. The front lens features a 170-degree wide-angle view with F2.0 aperture and a 6-glass structure, maximizing light intake during low-light driving. Hardware Wide Dynamic Range technology balances oncoming headlight glare and dark shadows in real time to prevent overexposure. The rear lens pairs a 140-degree view with F2.2 aperture and a 4-glass structure inside a waterproof housing rated for external mounting. For broader technical background on vehicle recording technology, consult the Wikipedia dashcam technology guide.
- Front resolution: 1920x1080P Full HD at 30 fps powered by Generalplus processing.
- Rear resolution: 1920x1080P Full HD at 30 fps with waterproof housing and 6-meter cable.
- Optical architecture: 170-degree front wide-angle (6-glass, F2.0) and 140-degree rear (4-glass, F2.2).
- Power architecture: 12V vehicle charger with built-in micro battery for time and system settings backup.
10-Inch IPS Touch Screen Control and Loop Recording Mechanics
The 10.0-inch IPS touch screen provides an intuitive control hub with split-screen picture-in-picture views that outperform standard small-screen monitors. Essential built-in features include emergency G-Sensor file locking, seamless cycle loop recording, motion detection, and parking monitor capabilities. The internal micro battery stores time and system settings only — the unit must remain plugged into the 12V car charger during operation. To maximize total vehicle protection, combine this optical security with our 4K dashboard camera collection for supplementary cabin coverage.
Practical Cabin Evaluation, Category Comparison, and Best-For Segmentation
The mirror overlay secures firmly over factory rearview glasses using high-tension rubber straps, completely eliminating vibration over rough roads. The 10-inch IPS display automatically adjusts brightness to prevent night glare, dimming approximately 60 percent within two seconds of ambient light change. Installation takes approximately 45 minutes, routing the 6-meter rear cable along the front headliner, down the passenger-side A-pillar behind the trim, under the door sill plate, and into the trunk or tailgate mounting position. Compared to a basic rear back camera for car use that only activates during reverse gear, this continuous-loop mirror dash cam records front and rear video whenever the ignition cycles on. Compared to a factory digital rearview mirror requiring CAN bus integration and professional disassembly, this overlay unit installs reversibly with rubber straps and preserves original glass reflectivity. Compared to legacy Novatek-chipset mirror cameras, this Generalplus architecture prioritizes thermal stability and power efficiency over peak frame rate, trading 4K capture for sustained operation in summer cabin temperatures.
Best for: Daily commuters and rideshare drivers needing continuous front-rear video documentation for insurance claims and traffic dispute defense on 12V passenger vehicles.
When to choose an alternative: Drivers needing 4K front resolution or sub-zero cabin operation should consider a Novatek 96663-based system with supercapacitor power; owners of leased vehicles requiring CAN bus integration should choose a factory digital rearview mirror.
| Ventajas Operativas (Pros) | Consideraciones Técnicas (Cons) |

Rearview Mirror Camera FAQs: Touch Screen, Power, and Installation Questions
-
What distinguishes a rearview mirror camera from a factory reversing camera?
- A reversing camera activates only during reverse gear engagement, while a rearview mirror camera records continuous front and rear video whenever the ignition is on. This dual-channel system documents highway incidents that reverse-only cameras miss entirely.
-
Does the touch screen dash cam work without being plugged into the charger?
- No. The internal micro battery stores only time and system settings, not operational power. The unit must remain connected to the 12V car charger during recording to maintain continuous loop capture.
-
How long does the 6-meter rear cable installation take on most vehicles?
- Installation takes approximately 45 minutes. The rear cable routes along the front headliner, down the passenger-side A-pillar behind the trim, under the door sill plate, and into the trunk or tailgate mounting position.
Package Contents and Installation Workflow
The package includes the DVR mirror unit, original 12V power charger, user manual, and the 1080P waterproof rear camera with a 6-meter cable. Installation requires approximately 45 minutes by routing the rear cable safely behind interior trim panels away from airbag deployment zones. Shipping is available across the United States, Canada, and Mexico with bilingual EN/ES technical support for installation and compatibility inquiries.

When I purchased it, there was only a cigar jack wiring without a fuse wiring, so I bought that, but I also purchased additional fuse wiring and completed the installation. The picture quality is better than I expected and it's really great. Thank you.
Gracias.

Cost-effectiveness..good With a little bit of manual dexterity, it's done.. Recording works well... the picture quality is average. Considering the picture quality... I would buy something around 300,000 won. Passed in terms of economy
It's decent. Nothing revolutionary, but it performs exactly as advertised and meets basic expectations. I can't complain, considering the price point.
superior 👍.
top 👍.
I bought it without high expectations, but I was much more satisfied than I thought. The basic performance is reliable and it's easy to use, making it great for everyday use without any burden. With this level of quality, I think the cost-performance ratio is excellent.
The 10-inch mirror dash cam offers a bold upgrade over traditional units: the large display gives an expansive real-time rear view, while dual front/back recording and loop-recording keep you protected. However, users report visibility compromises: the mirror surface may appear dim at night and fast playback controls are limited. Overall, a feature-rich option with trade-offs in mirror usability and convenience. Thank you.
GRACIAS.
Ich empfehle es jedem, der Leírtaknak entspricht!
